Putting 2 and 2 together
Infected by The The was one of my favourite albums in the 80's and still gets a regular airing.
But for some reason, until it was pointed out to me by 6 music the other morning, I never realised that the vocals on this were shared with Nenah Cherry.
You learn something new every day.

National No Smoking Day
Today is National No Smoking Day.
Quite why March 10 is National No Smoking Day, I have no idea, but if you want to stop slowly having the life sucked out of you by something that takes all your money, March 10 is as good a date as any, I suppose.

Michael Foot
Former Labour leader Michael Foot has died - From the BBC.
I was lucky enough to see Michael Foot speak at the Nottingham Albert Hall in the run up to the '83 election, and even as a young teenage lad, I knew I was in the prescence of a genius orator.
Unfortunately, the '83 election was one Labour had absolutely no chance of winning on a wave of early eighties selfish excess and post Falklands patriotic Conservatism.
But even then, he wasn't going to waver, a socialist in opposition rather than sell out his principals to become electable.
Today is a sad day indeed.
